Throughout her time at BCI, Heather has embraced several meaningful roles, including registered behavior technician, skills clinic leader, assistant assessor, and regional trainer. In 2023, she was honored to be part of BCI’s BCBA Internship program, where she gained invaluable clinical experience under the mentorship of seasoned clinicians.

As an Associate Clinician at BCI, Heather’s responsibilities include supervising behavior technicians, developing treatment interventions and behavior plans, conducting assessments, and providing caregiver training. Her profound clinical interests, which include naturalistic environment teaching and functional communication, guide her approach to implementing evidence-based interventions that address challenging behaviors and promote skill development. The BCI Mission and what it means to me

BCI’s mission resonates deeply with me. It is committed to improving the lives of individuals in rural communities through compassion and advocacy. It addresses the critical issues these communities face, particularly in accessing essential services such as healthcare, education, and other vital resources. BCI’s emphasis on fostering empowerment and removing barriers in underserved areas is truly inspiring. This further strengthens my belief that everyone deserves fair access to resources that can enhance their quality of life. Being a part of this mission has been a privilege, allowing me to contribute to meaningful change and witness firsthand the positive impact we can create together.
